What's New?

Silent Auction

As many of you know, the HTLC Quilters of this church make about 100 quilts per year which are typically used for Lutheran World Relief Quilt Mission and for Jubilee Christmas .   Church members have frequently asked one of us if we would be willing to sell one of these quilts.  In response to these inquiries, we have decided to offer a quilt in a silent auction in mid-April just in time for Mothers’ Day.  We will hang to selected quilt above the landing of the stairs going down to the fellowship hall.  We will take silent bids from April 14th thru May 4th 2025.  All proceeds will go into our treasury for use for making more quilts. The winner of the auction will be notified shortly after the closing on May 4th by one of the quilters.

REINTRODUCING THE OFFERING DURING WORSHIP

This coming Sunday the offering plates will be passed in the pews and returned to the altar as a way for us to show our thanks to God for God’s wonderful love and grace for us. As the plates are passed in the pews, you are also encouraged to place in there your Attendance Registration slip. In doing so, you are also offering upon the altar your very life to God in return for his great love for you.

Book Study 

This Bible Study group meets Wednesdays at 12:30 P.M. with a ZOOM version of the class offered on the following Sunday evening at 7 P.M. 

This week we are studying Chapter 4. Books are available.  

Reading one short chapter a week, the book follows the liturgical year & goes for an entire year.  In addition to the short chapter, there are 3 Bible passages to read.  

This class was held last year.  Some started during Lent 2024.  Everyone is welcome even if you weren’t able to participate before.

The Wired Word

The Wired Word is a weekly Bible study curriculum that connects the Bible to current events, open to everyone, seventh grade and older. 
The curriculum includes Bible verses, commentary, discussion questions, and reference materials, designed to help people: 

• Relate the Bible to current events 
• Extract hope from the news 
• Encourage dialogue about how key verses apply to everyday life
