Fall Quilt Auction

The HTLC Quilters  make about 100 quilts per year which are typically used for Lutheran World Relief Quilt Mission and for Jubilee Christmas. Church members have frequently asked one of us if we would be willing to sell one of these quilts. In response to these inquiries, the Holy Trinity Quilters have decided to offer a quilt pieced by Mary Anderson and completed by the quilters in silent auction on November 3rd and will take silent bids until November 30th.

The selected quilt will be hung above the landing of the stairs going down to the fellowship hall. All proceeds will go into the Holy Trinity Quilters treasury for use for making more quilts. The winner of the auction will be notified shortly after the closing on November 30th by one of the quilters. The Holy Trinity Quilters thank you in advance for your support of this Lutheran World Relief quilt ministry.

Special Voters Meeting December 7th

We recently announced that mold was found in the education wing basement. We have been working to get quotes and pricing worked out for the remediation of this mold. On December 7th we will be having a special voters meeting to approve the funding for this project as it will be over the threshold allowed by the constitution and we want to be as transparent as possible.

Youth Activity at Rosewalk Village

Calling all HTLC children, youth, and high schoolers! On Sunday, December 7th from 9-9:45  am, we will be meeting at Rosewalk Village to hand out Christmas ornaments. We are hoping to get enough people to break into groups so we can reach all 100+ residents during our visit. If you have questions, please reach out to McKenzie Temme.

Jump Into Jubilee

Jubilee Christmas on December 13th is fast approaching. Our congregation will be helping 22 parents plan a Christmas celebration for 64 children. Some of the many ways to help with Jubilee Christmas include taking a tag from the Mitten Tree and shopping for a child, checking out the laundry basket display and donating cleaning supplies, donating a dozen or two of your favorite holiday cookies, making a monetary donation, and volunteering to help at HTLC on December 13th. There is no one way to contribute to the service of Jubilee Christmas. Visit our Jubilee Christmas webpage for more information regarding these opportunities.

New Blog: Practicing Gratitude

Life is full of joys and challenges, some would say opportunities.  God has given us many gifts and a lot of grace.  This November is a good time to get into the habit of reflecting on and maybe expanding our gratitude practices.

Before the holiday season sets in, take a moment to read and reflect on November’s blog Practicing Gratitude by Deb Blum about a number of gratitude practices you might want to try as we thank God for all that we have been given.

The Wired Word

Join us on Sundays, at 9 A.M. in the Narthex on the first floor for The Wired Word. This weekly Bible study curriculum connects the Bible to current events, open to everyone, seventh grade and older.

Topic for Sunday, November 30th: New Voices Emerge in Arts and Culture

This week we look at the emergence of several new voices in the arts to consider what our faith teaches us about the role of music, art, drama and skillful word use in shaping our worldview and response to current events.

Read the news related to this topic before attending this bible study to be prepared for an engaging conversation.

Adding Events to Church Calendar

Do you have an event to add to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Calendar?

Please fill out the HTLC event form so we have the necessary information to not only add it to the church calendar but also have the necessary details to highlight it in the ePistle, our website and social media if requested.

Thank you!
